Voice Lessons
FUN & PERSONALIZED
Our vocal teachers instruct in a variety of styles, from classical to popular music. Every student is different, so voice & singing lessons are personalized to each student. We focus on teaching the fundamentals and proper technique, but we also make it fun by finding music our students are excited to play.
What to Expect
We make it a priority to get to know each student on a personal level and to become familiar with their musical needs and goals. You won't be lost in the crowd here!
The First Lesson
Our teachers make it a priority to get acquainted with your child's abilities, interests, and goals in music while teaching proper technique on their instrument. They will sit down with you and your child, to find out what they hope to achieve from learning music. They have the experience to help them reach their goals no matter their ability level.

Lessons are held in a very relaxed environment. Parents are welcome to join their child’s lesson, but it is not required.
Music Styles We Teach
At the Arts Academy we make it a priority to teach all styles of music! We believe that it is important to expose your child to different genres, so that they learn about different cultures and music.
We aim to tap into each student’s natural abilities so that they have fun learning while achieving success and learn life skills like teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. Your child will be playing their favorite piece of music before you know it!
Frequently Asked Questions
Our goal is not only to educate students in music, but also to help them become well-rounded individuals with proper ethics and values while stimulating creativity at all levels. Music teaches responsibility, patience, determination and perseverance.
How long does it take to learn to sing?
As a student, you will need to practice songs in your appropriate range. Like going to the gym for those who want stronger muscles; it takes time! Just as with any other skill that is taught gradually over many sessions or exercises - such as weight lifting -- voice lessons should also follow this same philosophy: start light then add more pressure each day until finally reaching maximum effort at week's end.
The first time a student takes voice lessons, they are often impatient and want to learn everything right away. You must remember that it will take practice before your goals can be achieved.
What's the best age to start singing lessons?
We recommend that students start at age 5, but it is important they be able to maintain attention throughout 30 minutes of instruction time so as not to lose focus on what is being taught.
Singing is a great way to improve communication, develop coordination, and increase self-confidence. It's never too late to start singing lessons!
What vocal styles do you teach?
We teach classical, contemporary, pop, and r&b vocal styles. All these styles are popular in modern music.
Classical singing is all about breath control and vowel production. You need to have a good understanding of the vocal anatomy in order to sing with proper technique and produce a beautiful sound.
Contemporary singing is all about emotion and expression. You need to be able to connect with your audience and convey the lyrics in a way that touches their hearts.
Pop singing is all about power and projection. You need to be able to belt out those high notes without losing your voice or sounding too shrill.
R&B singing is based on soulful Rhythm & Blues music styles and focuses on developing a richly textured vocal sound with emotional power.
No matter which style you’re interested in, we’ll teach you the fundamentals you need to be a well-rounded singer. This includes learning how to belt, mix and sing in head voice. We also work on your phrasing and musicality so that you can interpret songs in your own unique way.
We work with each student to help them find their own personal style and to develop the techniques that will best serve them as a singer.
What's the best way to learn how to sing?
There is no one "best" way to learn how to sing, as much of it depends on your level of experience and what you hope to accomplish. However, some basics that all singers should learn include proper technique and fundamentals such as breath support, vowel production, consonant pronunciation, and pitch accuracy.
One great way to learn more about proper singing technique is to take voice lessons from a qualified instructor. The lessons we offer can help you develop the skills you need to improve your singing voice and avoid common mistakes.
